Well, yeah today is the first day of our heat wave...triple digit temperatures through the weekend. I try to stay positive on this blog because who wants to read "Debbie Downer's" blog but oh my goodness I am going to melt! My plan is to stay inside until it passes. As if we were hunkering down to survive a hurricane, I went to the store last night and stocked up on water, food, and cat food to get us through the weekend. Once I take Brian to the airport for his trip to "cooler weather Washington" I am homebound and nothing will make me leave. So what better thing to post about while we are surviving this heathole? Well, coats of course! I dream of wearing these this fall. Picking pumpkins and looking at Christmas lights all bundled up, clutching hot chocolate....ah the day can't come soon enough!
I did get really lucky at our thrift trip a couple of weekends ago. All of the coats have their original labels- one from Paris! Oo la la, it's fabulous! I apologize that I modeled these in my pajamas so you won't get the full idea of how the coat will look with a cute outfit and of course the head has been removed to protect the innocent.
This one has a tweed texture and is in perfect condition.
This is the Paris one. Dark chocolate brown with a faux fur collar. I say yes to anything with fur!
This is a tan and brown houndstooth. It is more of the "cape" style and has three quarter length sleeves. Adorbs.
This one is a shorter gray coat. The buttons are so cute and the fabric is in perfect
condition.
And lastly, it is kind of hard to see how awesome this sweater coat is. It's my new "grandma sweater." It's long and cozy and will be perfect to wrap around me while sipping coffee by the fireplace. I got it at an estate sale for $3! Deal of the day for sure.
So does this make you ready for fall? Just 67 more days...but who is counting....
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday! It's almost the weekend!
