For those of us with etsy shops, you know how much time, effort, and energy you spend to get your shop "noticed." If you sell vintage purses, there are probably 5,000 or more vintage purses already on etsy. In order to make our shops stand out, we spend a lot of time gaining followers, joining teams, and promoting our items internally as well as outside etsy through social media. Sometimes it feels like etsy is 20% maintaining your shop and 80% promotion. So, with all of the time devoted to etsy promotion, I set out to discover a few ways to make all of our lives easier.
1. TreasuryBox
This app is genius if you make treasuries on etsy. Once you try it, you will wonder how you lived without it. It works with Google Chrome and is available through their app store. The app puts a little "treasure chest" on all etsy listings which you just click and it automatically adds it to your treasury. When you are finished, you are able to add a description, create tags, and send notifications to all of the shops featured. It also lets you do "advanced" things like save the image so you can post it on Facebook, etc.
Get the app here, it's free:
This is a website that lets you pin the treasuries you create. If you pin treasuries throught etsy, you know it only shows one image. TreasuryPin lets you pin however many images you would like to show. You can also move the images around the treasury before you pin.
3. Etsy Sold Price
If you've ever tried to research a price for your item, there's nothing more annoying than finding a sold listing on etsy and then having the selling price hidden. This app adds the sold price to all etsy sold listings. Next time you look up a similar item to yours, you will know exactly what it sold for. It's available for Chrome through the Google App store...and it's free! Get it here.
4. Etsy Heart Counter
If you are on an etsy team, you spend a lot of time liking other team member's items. We've all been in blitz games and have been halfway through a thread only to find out our hearts aren't "sticking." Why? Because etsy only lets you "heart" or like 300 items per hour. You have to wait for the top of the hour for your hearts to "re-set" That's where the Heart Counter app comes in. It counts your hearts for you and even keeps track of re-hearts. It also changes colors so you know when you are getting close to 300 and it has a timer counting down to when you will receive more hearts. It places a box at the top right corner of your etsy screen.
It's available in the Google App store for Chrome and it's free! Get it here.
5. Unfav/Fave All
This one I like to call "the best $15 I ever spent" The amount of time it saves me can't really be quantified, it's that good. If you are involved in any promo threads where you need to "like" mulitple pages or any blitz games, I highly recommend this app. It automatically hearts and rehearts all items in a thread with the click of one button. It adds a button up at the top right corner of your etsy screen. When you are in a promo thread, you simply click the one button and it automatically hearts/rehearts all items on that page and forwards to the next one.
I use this with the heart counter and I've taken a 300 item blitz thread from taking 30-45 minutes, to just a few.
Like I said, it's not free but I felt like I got my $15 worth the first day I used it. Get it here.
6. Click All Listings
I always stayed away from viewing blitzes because it was such a hassle to open up each listing, go back to the thread and do it over and over again. This app takes all the work out of viewing items. It's called "Click All Listings" and it works along with the Fav/Unfav App. It adds a green box to the top right of your etsy screen. When you are in a viewing thread simply click the one button and it will open up all items in that thread in new tabs. So easy and a huge time saver!
Here's what the top right of my screen looks like with all of the apps.
Once again it's free and available for Chrome in the Google app store. Get it here.
Don't you just love technology? These apps have saved me so much time and have allowed me to participate in more threads with less effort. Do you have a favorite etsy app? I'd love to hear about it!
Please visit my etsy shop! I'm adding new items every day!
